Wii Owners To Get Rock Band 2 DLC
I was a bit disappointed with the Wii version of Rock Band, mostly because it lacked several important features, most notably the ability to download additional tracks. This was, and is still the most important feature of the game to me, because it keeps things fresh. Every week you have something new to rock out to, but not on the Wii. Well Harmonix understands this, and made sure that Wii owners won’t be disappointed this time around.
Yes Virginia, you’ll have access to DLC, even on your Wii. So how exactly are you going to be able to store all of that new music? We have no idea. The internal memory definitely isn’t large enough, and last we heard, SD card transfer rates were too slow to load tracks from. Another question is whether or not you’ll have access to the tracks from your original Rock Band disc. My guess is no, but we’ll have to wait for the official word.
