Wrath Of The Lich King To Ship Only On DVD
I’ve been trying to remember the last time I owned a computer that didn’t have a DVD drive, and I’m pretty sure that it was somewhere around 2003. Since that time I’ve made sure that every PC I’ve bought or constructed had the ability to burn, or at the very least, read DVDs. I suspect by now that most people out there have a drive with this capability. However, for those WoW addicts out there with nothing more than a CD drive, you may want to consider upgrading.
Blizzard has announced that the latest expansion to their popular MMO will only be shipping in DVD form. If you recall, the last expansion was available on either medium, giving you the option to swap out a few dozen discs, rather than just popping in a single DVD. If you absolutely cannot upgrade your drive, you’ll always be able to download the expansion. Unfortunately the Burning Crusade wasn’t available for download until almost two weeks later.
