No Current Plans For A Follow-Up For Oblivion

Now that Bethesda has finally called it quits on Fallout 3 (much to our displeasure) they obviously have plenty of time on their hands for a new flagship title. Many fans have looked towards the Elder Scrolls series in hopes that the company might follow up the highly popular Oblivion with another sequel. Alas, those dreams have been shattered.

Speaking at QuakeCon this weekend, Tod Howard of Bethesda stated for the record that there are “no current plans” for a fifth game. Thankfully, they are leaving things open for the possibility in the future. This of course makes us wonder what their next big thing will be.
