I Want To Be Samus – A Creation Video

An eleven-year-old boy by the name of Joe DeRosa wants to be a girl for Halloween. That girl is the famous bounty hunter, Samus Aran, star of the Metroid series. When news of this reached little Joe’s father, excitement brewed within him, and he decided to help his son build the most awesome arm cannon possible.

The video below showcases the construction of the cannon, which will incorporate lights and sounds based on the Metroid Prime design. The pair also are planning to fabricate a helmet and chestplate, all to be finished by Halloween this year.

This kind of creativity is what makes me happy to belong to the gaming community. I will surely be rooting for these two this Halloween.
