Players Getting Nintendo 3DS Play Time For Free?

In efforts to stir up even more interest in it’s 3DS, Nintendo is holding an event called “Nintendo World 2011” at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. Get this, admission is totally free.

The even will be open to the public and will run from January 8th through the 10th, 10:00am to 5:00pm. Nintendo has yet to announce what all will be on display.

Of course, the Makuhari Messe is the same location at which the Tokyo Game Show is held every year, an event that Nintendo usually sits out.

We are assuming that the event will be similar to the 2006 Nintendo World at which the Wii and its software was made available to gamers. The event had demo booths for gamers to interact with upcoming titles and more. There were many Wii games there, so we think that this event won’t just be for the 3DS, but it will be a large focus.

The Nintendo 3DS will be available in Japan on February 26th.
