Indie Game: The Movie – An Aspiring Masterpiece

Now I know that we all love to play those big budget, big production games out there, especially me, but there are some games out there that seem to skip under the radar. These few games are somewhat low budget, low production, and even low brow games that, in the end, deserve some very due attention.

Games in this category are those like Braid, Limbo, Minecraft, and many more. We call these titles Indie Games, and they seem to be the most forthcoming when it comes to pushing the boundaries of the gaming industry.

This is why you need to watch and devote your attention to the video below. Independent film makers James Swirsky and Lisanne Pajot have undertaken a project to get inside the mind of an indie game developer, and explore the underground gaming world.

In the latest clip from the duo, we hear from David Yu – the creator of Spelunky and Aquaria – as he touches on some key points about indie games.
