A First Look At The 3DS’ Software

Our friends over at Kotaku got some time with the 3DS at the Nintendo event yesterday in New York. The video posted below shows some unique software capabilities of the 3DS in action.

A more detailed video is to come later on, but this quick peek is just enough to get our spines tingling for what’s coming next.

One of the coolest and most noteworthy of the new features has to be the ability to multitask, or run programs in the background while doing other things. For instance, you can be playing Zelda, find a clue, put the game in a suspended mode, go to the notepad and jot down some notes, then return to the game.

That is a really great idea, and I am sure more are to come as we get to see more of the 3DS in action. Watch the video below to see a glimpse of what we’re looking forward to.
