Activision Kills Guitar Hero, Accepts Defeat

Well, we’ve all kind of been waiting for it, but Activision has finally given up on Guitar Hero. They kind of drove it into the ground and were beating the dead horse with a plastic guitar shaped controller. They were originally planning to release a 2011 Guitar Hero, but have since ceased development. Which means someone ran numbers and finally said, “Enough”.

They’re canceling True Crime: Hong Kong as well, and have stopped production. They said it just wasn’t going to be a good enough game to put out. The future of this franchise is unknown.

They used a bunch of fancy words to say why they made this decision, but in reality, they realized things just sucked. Hopefully they can churn out something more interesting in the future
