Rumor: Silent Hill Multiplayer Game Coming For Xbox Live?

It seems that during an interview with an Italian Xbox magazine the art director for Silent Hill: Downpour hinted towards Konami’s plans to release a multiplayer Silent Hill game for Xbox Live Arcade.

Radek Marek stated during the interview that, “at the moment there will be no multiplayer modes in Silent Hill: Downpour. Konami are investigating a separate chapter devoted entirely to the multiplayer.”

Marek also stated that his studio didn’t have any details besides the fact that the game would be available via Xbox Live, and “most players will have to survive the town of Silent Hill.”

We’re awaiting word from Konami on this issue, but in the meantime, what do you think about a multiplayer Silent Hill game?
