Is Portal 2 Launching Early?

Valve has a way of drumming up excitement for any upcoming game that they work on. Some people might wonder just how they accomplish this. Personally, I think that it’s a combination of actually releasing quality titles time and again, combined with their own genuine love of gaming, and their ability to listen to what their consumers want. Whatever it is, they’re on the right track. Their soon-to-be-released Portal 2 is easily one of the most anticipated games of 2011. But of course, they aren’t about to slack off with their hype machine yet.

A new countdown timer has appeared on the official Aperature Science website that has people scratching their heads. As you can see from the text above, GlaDOS is implying that the “final test” will be given when the timer reaches zero. With only four and a half hours to go, could the end of the timer mean an early release of Portal 2? We can only hope.
