The event is centered around eight weeks consisting of arena-only battles that take place on realms dedicated to such mass global warfare. The tournament runs annually, and allows players to create and customize brand new level 85 characters. Players will compete in 3×3 arena battles in order to become the best player coming out on top. Those who come out as the best warrior will earn the title of Vanquisher, and unlock a special Murloc companion pet.

There will be a one-time registration fee of $20.00, and players must have a WoW account that has been upgraded all the way to the Cataclysm expansion. The first month of the event is strictly dedicated to practice. Scores will reset at the beginning of the last four weeks, allowing for a fresh start so the real war can begin. Playing 50 or more matches with the same character on the same team during the qualifying round will win you the Armored Murlock, while ranking in the top 1,000 teams earns you the title of Vanquisher.
