Quite a few gamers out there seem to be having an issue with the fact that L.A. Noire has hit the Xbox 360 on three discs, which means that players will have to switch discs twice during the 20 hours of gameplay that the title offers. Yes, folks, you will actually have to get off the couch and physically change the discs. After receiving some word from Rockstar Games, you’ll be happy to have the game on just three of these bad boys.
According to Rockstar Writer and Director Brendan McNamara, the game used to be on twice as many discs as it is now for the Xbox 360. He stated that “it took a lot of work to get down to three discs – I think two were on four or five or six at one point – and to get it onto one Blu-ray.”
The company used “miraculous compression” to get all of the game’s content on the Blu-ray for the PS3 and just three discs for the Xbox 360. I don’t really have issues with disc-switching, and I am happy that the game has so much content. I am loving it so far. But for those of you who do have issues with this concept, what is it that presents the problem?
