Introducing The Adventures Of Shuggy

I enjoy my casual shooter, and definitely my expansive MMO games, but I also have a sweet spot for adventure puzzle games. That’s why I got excited when I laid eyes on Valcon Games’ newest title, The Adventures of Shuggy. The game is now available on Xbox Live Arcade, and it’s full of puzzling fun.

At its core, Shuggy is a puzzle platforming game, though the sense of adventure is thrown right in the mix. Players will control Shuggy through over 150 mind-boggling levels, and they can even invite a friend to play. The game offers a Co-Op mode in which another player can control one of Shuggy’s relatives, and there’s even a head-to-head mode where players can compete for the highest score.

Players will have the ability to shift the room using the left and right triggers on the Xbox 360 controller. Turning the room left or right will enable Shuggy to enter safe areas to collect gems in order to complete the level. Each room offers its own puzzle and tutorial. The mechanics are varied and can change from room to room. They range from time travel, to twisting rooms, to rope pulleys that need to be used strategically, to Shuggy growing and shrinking by drinking potions, and tons more.

Look out below for the game’s launch trailer, and see how great this little game is. For just 800 Microsoft Points, this is a perfect little title to spend hours on. The ability to enjoy co-op with a friend makes the game even better, allowing two brains to work as one. If you’ve got the chance, be sure to go grab this game off the Xbox Live Marketplace.
