Mario Kart 3D: Nintendo Wants To See Eight-Player Online

Mario Kart 3D was showcased at this year’s E3, and it looks like a perfect new entry in the series. The game looks to take the best the franchise has to offer, and pack it all into one title for the 3DS.

Though there were amazing visuals and details released, the game has more in store than being able to fly and drive underwater. Mario KArt 3D currently has eight-player local wireless racing built-in, and Nintendo plans to take that forward with introducing eight-player online as well.

When asked about the online capability of the title, Producer Hideki Konno states that, “”our goal right now is to have the same number of players for both local wireless and multiplayer over wi-fi..” The official configuration hasn’t been set as of now, we’re looking forward to more information soon.
