Kevin Conroy, the voice actor for Batman in Warner Brothers Interactive’s Batman: Arkham City, recently spoke with Comic Booked about some of his past appearances in the industry as well as an apparent future with the new game franchise. According to Conroy, the new Batman game will feature episodic updates, continuously adding to the game’s content. “The thing about Arkham City is that it’s going to be an ongoing game,” Conroy explained. “You’re going to be able to download future episodes of it, so it’s going to be going on for quite a while. I’ve been recording it for a while.”
This is some amazing news, as this clearly could mean infinite options for the Batman game franchise. With Conroy on board, then we’re sure to get our money’s worth out of the game. Conroy’s got almost two decades of his life wrapped up as Batman, and with this news, he’s saying he isn’t going anywhere for quite some time.
The whole “episode” idea is very exciting. This means we could see new villains, places in Gotham to explore, new gear, and much more. Maybe we’ll even be able to take the Batmobile out for a nice stroll when we feel like it? I think that no matter the content, this news is great news for fans of Batman and gamers alike. What would you like to see with different updates to the Batman game world?
