Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Will Include A Color-Blind Mode

You may not know it, but color blindness is a common problem shared among all types of gamers and others alike. According to Sledgehammer Games, around 9 to 12 percent of males are afflicted, which means that males are inept to this issue more than women. In a way to recognize this, as the studios have been researching it for some time, Activision has announced that Modern Warfare 3 will have a Color Blind Assist option.

No details have been released yet on how it will actually work, but we’re awaiting word on the process. It seems logically that switching on the option will swap palettes of colors in the game, most likely switching to those easily recognizable by the affected gamers.

Hopefully this new option will help the dedicated Modern Warfare players out there, and will make the tables a bit more balanced for them. Modern Warfare 3 hits stores on November 8th, and that’s when the online marathons will begin. After a while it all becomes a blur anyway, so I am sure we’ll all be on a level playing field.
