Team Fortress 2 Arcade Is Real, And A Great Remake

Team Fortress 2 is easily one of the best-selling PC games of all time, and it’s a huge success on behalf of Valve. The game has tons of fans, and these fans are some of the most hardcore fans around. One of these devoted fans is Eric Ruth, and he has something new for us to see.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Ruth, he is the genius behind the 8-bit remakes of Halo, and DJ Hero. His latest creation is Team Fortress 2 Arcade, yet another remake of a great game. TF2 Arcade takes a classic beat-em-up style and throws it against the TF2 class mechanic. The result is a great arcade game that incorporates teamwork like classic titles from the past.

PikiGeek got to speak with Ruth about the game, and even got some hands-on playtime with a version of it. You can see the interview/gameplay video below, and be sure to watch the whole thing. This way you can get a full look at the great game Ruth has created. TF2 Arcade includes 4-player co-op, nine total stages, and extras that TF2 fans will love. It should go live by the end of summer.
