A raid by police took place in Parktown, Johannesburg South Africa, the first ever in regards to the PS3 Jailbreak. The raid was conducted by the South African Police Service’s Commercial Crime Unit, assisted by the SARS computer crime lab.
It Is reported that authorities found “state of the art computers, circumvention software packages, jailbreak USB devices, and PS3 consoles and hard drives”, all of which were all seized and confiscated.
One suspect was arrested and will be held awaiting an appearance in the Specialized Commercial Crimes Court. It’s always good to see cybercrime arrests when so many go unsolved.
