Bethesda May Have Been Hacked, Changed All Passwords

I appears that some hackers may have broken into Bethesda Softworks’ forum database over the weekend, prompting the developer to reset all forum user’s passwords. The passwords were encrypted, and Bethesda has not yet stated that any information was taken. They are just playing it safe, and for good reason.

If you have an account on the forum, Bethesda highly recommends users to change their password to something more secure than one that they use anywhere else. Your pet’s name and your birth date aren’t always the best passwords to use across the net.

This is the second hacking scare for the company since this June, so it may be important to change your information if you haven’t already. We’re still waiting on official word from the company, but it’s better to be safe than sorry, right?
