Kinect for Xbox 360 is an amazing feat of video game engineering. That being said, it’s up for debate whether Kinect is a good idea to be implemented into your standard motion-free video game. On one hand it could enhance gameplay, but on the other it could come across as a ploy to sell more Kinect units. Either way it’s hard to say what will happen until the wave of debuted Xbox 360 E3 2011 Kinect/controller games release.
When word of Halo: Anniversary first hit, I was rather excited, After all, Halo: CE is one of my all-time favorite games. However when the news of Kinect functionality came to light I was slightly skeptical. I was asking myself “will Kinect make it corny, will it enhance the game, or just make it awkward?” So far what I’m hearing is that Kinect will be an optional feature that will enhance the game not make it any different from the original.
What I’m hoping to see is a smooth combination of Kinect and controller working seamlessly with the player to create an amazing replay experience… whether or not that will happen is mystery for now, good thing there isn’t too much more time to wait. How do you feel about Kinect and Halo?
