No Second Hand Sewers In Rage

These days most games have hidden aspects, whether it’s a secret room, game modifying skulls, or cake. So of Course Id software’s Rage will do the same. In rage players will be able to explore the sewer system, which is pretty cool, if you ask me. But if you are looking forward to those smelly rat infested pipes you better buy your copy of Rage new.

According to Id’s Tim Willits, in order to partake in sewers you must have a first-hand copy of Rage. What that means is when you buy Rage you will have to download the sewers, so if you buy a used copy you will be unable to do so, an interesting way reward for buying the game new.

Now I don’t think it’s that bad of an idea, but I’m sure some people will be in a “rage” over it, but think of it this way if you don’t buy it new, the sewers are not essential to the story so you not really missing out. Besides in the beginning when buying used you’re only saving between 4 to 7 dollars. Are those endless pipes of awful odor and exploration worth those 4-7 dollars? Some will say yes and some will say no. What’s your take of the matter?
