The Xbox 360 is a platform that has a lot of exclusives, but they don’t just apply to titles. These exclusives expand to first dibs on DLC, and beta access. This was the case with the new Call of Duty Elite beta, as it hit the system first. The program set off about two months ago, but now it’s not only available on this platform. Activision has announced that the Elite beta is now available for the PS3.
Beta testers can take their current Call of Duty multiplayer experience to the next level by jumping into the Beta version of the Call of Duty Elite service, as beta access will start to be activated in stages, with limited invitations rolling out effective today. The PlayStation community will have the opportunity to connect, compete, and improve through Call of Duty Elite and play together better, according to the press release. This should keep players locked until Modern Warfare 3 releases this November.
Most of Elite’s services will be free, but a $50 per year subscription will allow players Premium access, which will include a year’s worth of DLC for the game for free. If you want to sign up for the beta, head on over to the Elite official site. Are you ready for the new look at the Call of Duty franchise?
