Modern Warfare 3 Will Not See A Prestige Edition
Confirmed via Twitter, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will not be seeing a Prestige Edition at launch. The new title will see a Hardened Edition, like previous releases, but this is the biggest version that retail will offer.
Creative Strategist Robert Bowling confirmed this information on his Twitter account, informing another user that only the Hardened Edition will be available at launch alongside the Standard Edition of the game. The Hardened Edition will release for $99.99. Modern Warfare 3 will release on November 8th.
Whatever the strategy of Activision, I’m not too sure how this will affect sales. To me, the CoD franchise has a lot of dedicated gamers, but not a lot of collectors. What about you? Are you a gamer who collects these special editions of games? What do you think about this news?
