Experience Dark Souls The Right Way, In A Coffin

In Dark Souls you die. A lot. So it would only be fitting that, while playing, you’re already in a coffin, right? After all, most of your time in Dark Souls is watching you meet your end by getting crushed, stabbed, sliced, burned, kicked, and knocked off ledges. Namco Bandai believes that this should be standard when playing the game, so they designed a rig to provide a one-of-a-kind experience.

The publisher’s Australian branch is hosting this terrific display, and it’s fully functional. It’s a painted wood coffin, complete with an LCD TV and a space for either a PS3 or Xbox 360. Not to mention, that red padding has to be baby soft. This way once you pass out from death exhaustion, you can rest in peace just like the developer intended.

Of course this may seem a bit morbid, but I am going all “shut up and take my money” over it. This piece was built for a competition run by Namco Bandai, but I think they should pay the creator to mass produce these things. They’ll fly off the shelves.
