Counter Strike GO Beta Gets Delayed

The Counter Strike: Global Offensive beta was originally set to release earlier this month, and a lot of players have been waiting patiently wondering just where their beta access is. The issue, is that we’ve learned that this beta has been delayed, according to Valve’s Chet Faliszek. The worst part – the delay has been pushed back to an unknown date.

Faliszek noted in an interview that the CS: GO beta would include 10,000 participants and based on feedback from testers, it would continue to grow in stages. Right now, though, feedback is being taken from Valve from Counter Strike 1.6, and this is the reason behind the delay. The beta for CS: GO will be implemented mainly for testing game crashes to help ensure that there aren’t any when the final version of the game launches. By the end of the beta’s run, players will be taking part in the full game, and at that time Valve will decide when to release the official version.

Though it may be upsetting to some players, it’s good to know that Valve is putting so much effort into producing a game that will be on the top of its game at its launch. Like previously mentioned, the beta’s start date is unknown as of now. As soon as Valve releases more information on the game, and the beta, we will update accordingly.
