Gears Of War 3 Free DLC Available In A Few Weeks

The time has come for Epic games to give appreciation to its long lasting fans that have supported the game series so far. They announced their newest Gears Of War 3 downloadable content titled “Versus Booster Map Pack” will be available to us on November 24th (Thanksgiving Day). This DLC will add five maps to the multiplayer aspect of Gears of War 3. If I were to be appreciated by a company, I’d want it to be like this! I have a hate for downloadable content that requires more monetary purchases, so companies appreciating their fans with free DLC is awesome.

This DLC will include 2 maps from the first Gears of War which are Swamp and Clocktower along with three other maps that are included in the Horde Command Pack which goes for 800 Microsoft Points. If you want those three maps now, you can buy the Horde Command Pack which also comes with new Horde fortification upgrades, exclusive playable characters, exclusive weapon skins, and new achievements.

After this DLC, there will be one final DLC before the year ends. It’s called “RAAM’s Shadow Add-on”. This DLC will add onto the campaign of GoW3 allowing you to play as General Raam, the final boss of GoW1. You storm the human stronghold of Ilima City in a setting based pre-Gears of War 1. This DLC lasts around 3 hours so it’s a nice plus to add into your game. There is more DLC scheduled to be released in 2012.
