A few glitches have been found in campaign mode and survival mode of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 since release but no significant multiplayer glitches. Up until now. The campaign glitch was a simple “leave the map” glitch while the co-op glitch was a sneaky hiding spot, but the multiplayer glitch is much more game changing. This glitch threatens to plague the multiplayer experience until it is patched.
A group called RSPProductionz prides themselves in finding glitches in games and making youtube videos to guide players into achieving the glitch. You can see this glitch’s video below. Basically, this glitch is called ‘shotgun boosting’ and consists of jumping extra high and far if you shoot a shotgun while mid-air.
Players can pretty much get anywhere they want on the rooftops of buildings with this exploit. It creates an unfair playing field and will be patched in the next title update. How this slipped past Infinity Ward’s play-testing is unknown to me, but let’s hope this gets fixed soon so people can go back to playing normally without being paranoid of rooftops.
