GameStop posted some pre-order listings for some PS Vita memory cards last month, and their pricing was really off-putting. These prices ranged from $30 for a 4GB card to upwards of $120 for a 32GB card. The PlayStation blog has posted the official pricing on these memory cards, and it’s a bit better than we originally thought.
Though these prices aren’t turned down too much, but every little bit helps. According to Sony, the cards will be priced as follows:
You can pick up the 4GB card in a special bundle, and you’ll get a “Pocket Pouch, headphones, a cleaning cloth, and a screen protector. This “Starter Kit” will retail for $40, which isn’t too bad. The aforementioned GameStop price listings haven’t changed, but after this announcement they should be. Hopefully this will help ease your mind when you’re paying for that Vita with your life savings.
