Rumor: The Lawsuit Over The Fallout MMO Is Settled

In case you’ve forgotten, there has been an arduous ongoing legal battle between developers Bethesda and Interplay. The whole suit is all over the creation of a Fallout MMO that we’re supposed to be seeing sometime this year. Rumors have spread out across the net that this lawsuit is finally over, which could mean an actual future for the game.

Official details are supposed to be dropping later this month, and for now all we have to go on is the information picked up over at Fallout fan site Duck and Cover. Sources point to a settlement that has been reached between both companies, though details on the settlement are void of the press. We’ll hold on to the rumor and see if it continues to develop.

Could this mean that the MMO will finally see the light? In October Bethesda attempted to impose a preliminary injunction on Interplay which failed. Through this the developer was free to continue their work, which still hasn’t seen much air time. We’ll be keeping close to this to see just if the game will make it’s 2012 deadline, which would no doubt make us all happy.
