Counter-Strike is easily one of the biggest FPS franchises on the PC. The original game, and CS: Source are still two of the top 10 games played on Steam. As such, players are dying to get their hands on a beta key for the latest installment, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. So how do you get one for yourself?
Valve has posted a new survey regarding the game, which could be your ticket. The survey comes in two parts. First, you’ll answer a couple of questions (internet speed, and whether or not you have a mic attached), and let Steam check your hardware. Then you’ll be asked a few questions about your skill level, and how much you play other FPS. Finally, you’ll answer a few questions about Counter-Strike in general.
The company has stated that there aren’t any wrong answers, so don’t fret if you aren’t sure which weapon provides the best value. Over the coming months they will be selecting batches of people to invite based on the survey. Taking it won’t guarantee you a spot, but it’s probably your best chance of getting in, unless you already know someone that has a key.
