There Won’t Be A PC Version Of Transformers: Fall of Cybertron

When Transformers: War of Cybertron released, players were elated. Well, console players were anyway. As for those who picked up the game on the PC, there was an abundant amount of disappointment.

That’s why, when this fall brings the release of Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, the sequel will not be seen on the PC platform. High Moon studios simply cannot handle a PC version of the game. The game’s director Matt Tieger explained a bit on why the developer came to the decision not to move forward with the game on PC, stating that, “It’s outside our area of expertise, to be honest. I think there are a few things that are inherent in what PC consumers are looking for that frankly we didn’t deliver on.”

He goes on to say that the developer was “spread so thin, that I feel like we barely served that audience.” Now I’ve played the game on both the Xbox 360 and the PC, and I’ve personally not had any problems on either. I will say that I enjoyed the game better on the console, but I didn’t mind at all playing it on the PC. I picked it up through Steam when it was on sale, and never had an issue that I could tell. I suppose that High Moon has just decided that, rather than disappoint the PC community once more, they would just not make the attempt. Better safe than sorry, right?
