GameStop Hosting ME3 Midnight Launch Events

If you have a physical copy of Mass Effect 3 on preorder, you won’t have to wait until the morning to pick up your copy and go to town on the Reapers! GameStop announced in a press release that more than 3,600 stores will be open at midnight on March 6th for people to pick up their games and participate in other events.

If you’ve preordered your copy at GameStop, you’ll get some exclusive bonus items including the N7 “Valkyrie” Assault Rifle and the N7 “Defender” Armor. Also, if you buy the game at GameStop you can get $50 off of a Kinect Sensor, which is half off the normal price. Extra trade-in credit to the tune of 30 percent is being offered as well.

If you want to get in on the festivities but you don’t want to go to GameStop, BioWare TV will be broadcasting a live stream from Edmonton, West Hollywood, Chicago, and Boston where you, the fans, will be able to “participate and interact with the Mass Effect 3 development team”. It sounds like it should be a lot of fun, but if you’re like me, when midnight hits I’m not going to want to talk to the developers, but rather, I’m going to be immersing myself in the world the developers have created!
