Are you the kind of person who likes your RPGs to stay single-player? Do you not feel like playing companion iOS games (or not have an iPhone)? Then you might be a bit worried about your ability to get the “perfect ending” in Mass Effect 3. Why? Because your Galactic Readiness will never get about 50%.
In order to get past that number, you’re going to need to spend some quality time playing with your friends. However, this does not mean that you won’t be able to achieve that perfect ending you’re looking for. The reason for this is that Galactic Readiness only plays a part in determining how your game ends.
To clear up the confusion, Bioware staffer Jarrett Lee made a post to let everyone know that they weren’t forcing multiplayer on you. Instead, what you need to focus on is your Effective Military Strength, which can be raised by collecting War Assets. Collect enough, and you’ll max out your EMS. By raising your Galactic Readiness, you won’t need to collect as many War Assets. Essentially, there are different ways of achieving the same goal, depending on your style of play.
