Mojang Wins And Scrolls Will Keep Its Name

Well, that was a rousing legal battle. Quite some time ago, Mojang decided to make a game and call it “Scrolls”. It was not to be confused with the Bethesda game series, “The Elder Scrolls” as it is going to have a completely different feel. Notch had requested a Quake match to duke it out, but the big wigs on the opposing team said nay.

We tried to keep up through second hand news, as there aren’t many among us who know Swedish. During this time, we knew that things were looking pretty good, as they won the preliminary round. However, it’s just been lying wait until now.

On March 10th, Notch tweeted this, and the whole of the interwebs rejoiced. I still wish that the Quake match had happened instead, but it’s nice to know that everything still worked out in the end. Now we’ll just have to wait and see what the game will actually be like.
