Project Zomboid Version 2.0

Zombies are terrifying creatures. We like them because they scare the ever-living crap out of us, and trigger that innate survival instinct immediately. Well, in our games anyway.

Indie Stone made a humongous update to Project Zomboid, and from the looks of things, this is about how things would probably look in a real zombie apocalypse. There is a demo out currently of the newer version, and it looks as though things have gotten a lot more challenging.

In the update, you can expect a much bigger map, new weapons, crafting recipes, a whole new lighting engine and more. Last year they saw a huge setback for the game as they lost all of their previous work via robbery. A less motivated team might just pack up and call it quits, but it’s good to see that they really cared about their project and chose to press on. It will cost about five pounds once it is in Alpha, which translates to about $8 in the US.
