Sony announced yesterday the upcoming release of the Ratchet & Clank Collection, as part of their Ratchet & Clank 10th Anniversary Celebration. The collection will contain Ratchet & Clank, Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, and Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal, and they will all be remastered in glorious 1080p, with 720p stereoscopic 3D support.
What is also included with the collection will be Up Your Arsenal’s competitive multiplayer, along with three Platinum Trophies for the Playstation Network. The remaster is being conducted by Idol Minds, and it being supervised by Insomniac Games.
The collection is set to be released in the spring in Europe, but will not be making its way to North America until the fall. According to the Playstation blog, “(I)t’s because we have something very special planned for our North American fans to celebrate the 10th anniversary, and we’ll share all the details very soon.” Who knows what they’re planning to do with the North American release?
