Steam Hosting Free Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer Weekend

If you’re a PC gamer, then it’s most likely that you’re also a fan of Steam. Valve introduced this service to help distribute games digitally to PC gamers everywhere, and it remains one of the top-performing services available today. If you’ve kept up with Steam, then you’ll have been aware that during most weekends the platform holds a free weekend for a randomly selected game. Whether it be a free multiplayer weekend, or just a free gaming weekend in general, it’s an opportunity to try out the featured game before you lay down any money on it. It just so happens that a free multiplayer weekend is coming upon us once more and the flavor of the week seems to be Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Starting today and running through Sunday, players will be able to download Modern Warfare 3 and enjoy some multiplayer fragging for free. All you need is a valid Steam account and you can let the bullets fly with other players around the world. IF you jump in and like what you see, you can then purchase the full game, and keep everything you’ve achieved through the weekend. It’s a great opportunity to get in and see the newest changes in the Call of Duty franchise to date.

So, just in case you’ve nothing to do this weekend, Steam is willing to grant you the chance to get some killstreaks in on plenty of willing candidates. If nothing else, you can use the free weekend to chomp out some frustration, or to let off some steam from the past work week. Either way, it’s a win-win situation. You get a free multiplayer weekend, and Activision gets some play stats and possible sales. Overall, Modern Warfare 3 has some great advantages over its predecessors, though fans of the Black Ops title may find it a bit difficult to manage due to the absence of the running dive. If you’ve been curious about how it plays out, this weekend is your chance to give it a shot – literally!
