Adidas MiCoach 24/7 Being Published By 505 Games After THQ Debacle

It was announced yesterday that 505 Games will finish what THQ started, as they will be taking over publishing duties for the Adidas miCoach 24/7 game. This is the final chapter of the THQ-miCoach debacle, as THQ was sued for a breach of contract by Adidas to the tune of $10.6 million. In March, THQ had announced that they would no longer be publishing the game, only saying that a “third party” would reimburse THQ for certain development costs.

505 Games, based in Milan, Italy, is a relatively young publisher as it was founded in 2006. Some of their most notable titles that they’ve published include Cooking Mama, Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, and Armored Core 4. While it might not be the most highly regarded publisher out there, Adidas apparently thinks more of them than a publisher that’s been around since 1989.

MiCoach 24/7 is set to be released this summer. According to the press release, “miCoach is a personal training system from adidas for athletes of all ages, gender and level. Users can develop training plans according to their chosen sporting activity, track their workout progress, get coaching feedback and see improvements.” If you’re looking to get in shape, you’ll be able to find it on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, though be sure to have the Xbox Kinect or the PlayStation Move, as this game looks like it’s going to require them.
