We Won’t See Respawn Entertainment’s Big Project Reveal At E3

Respawn Entertainment is still in the trenches working on their first big title. Earlier this year we heard from the developer that they’re working hard on something that’ll be an EA Partners title, though not many more details are known about it. Well, aside from a blurry screenshot that is.

Members from the newly-formed developer will attend the upcoming E3 event this year, though they will not be bringing any new details on their project with them. A comment from Community Manager Abbie Heppe clarified Respawn’s planning for the event: “Some of us will be present at E3, but we won’t be showing anything or doing any press related to the game.”

Respawn is a developer comprised of former Infinity Ward members, who happen to be the same folks responsible for getting the Call of Duty Modern Warfare series up off the ground. With that kind of team behind desks, it’s easy to think anything they’re working on will be big. We still don’t accurately know what they are working on, though many just as soon speculate that it’s another FPS. Personally I believe they’re working on an open-world RPG. Why? Because it would blow us all away. I’m looking for either a modern-day shooter RPG or some sort of fantasy-based title. Either way, we will have to wait to learn more about whatever Respawn is working on.
