Blizzard Celebrates Their Different Worlds Of Art With A New Book

Blizzard has just announced a new book that will be releasing that shows off the various pieces of art they’ve concocted through the years for their various games. The book has been aptly titled “The Art of Blizzard”. It sounds catchy, right?

The book will feature 700 pages of visual art by Blizzard for all of its franchises. There will even be some artwork from a few projects that went unpublished. There will also be some commentary from Nick Carpenter, Blizzard’s Vice President of Art and Cinematic Development, Senior Art Director Sam Didier, and Chris Metzen, Vice President of Storylines.

You can pre-order a copy of the book right now, though it won’t be releasing until later this year. It’ll list at $75, though, so it won’t be cheap. Of course when it comes to Blizzard, nothing ever is. You can pre-order the book through Amazon, which has it for a little bit less than retail price. Seriously, though, I have the Wrath of the Litch King art book and it’s amazing. I imagine The Art of Blizzard book will be pretty much the same, and if so it’s something that any fan will appreciate.

One of my favorite things about Blizzard and their games is the amazing artwork they display. When the World of Warcraft TCG released, a book came along with it some months later that showcased art from the cards. It’s another great book and the art within is magnificent. It’s really inspiring, and worth the price you’ll pay for the book.
