Valve has announced today, in the midst of E3, that Counter Strike: Global Offensive will be releasing for players this August. Players can pick up the game via Steam, Xbox 360, and PS3 for just $15 starting on August 21st.
CS:GO adds brand new weapons, maps, and redesigned character models to the game. Tons of fans play Counter Strike: Source every day, and it’s still used as a platform for LAN events across the nation. With the release of CS: GO, however, I imagine things will change, and for the better.
The beta for Counter Strike: Global Offensive is still running strong, and I’m enjoying it so far. Valve made sure to add a version of the Gun Game mode to GO, which they’ve called Arms Race. It’s a great change from the normal Team Deathmatch we see in multiplayer FPS games, and it really shines with CS: GO. Get ready for August, gamers, because CS: GO will be dropping in hot.
