Datel Controllers Having Issues On Xbox 360

Back in November, there was a bit of a legal battle brewing between Microsoft and Datel. Those two just haven’t been able to get along too well. Anywho, Datel was upset and sued, saying that Microsoft was locking out their devices from the 360 by updating firmware, which is breaching antitrust laws.

This was obviously denied, and in response, Microsoft sued over one of Datel’s third party controllers being too similar to their own design. It all calmed down for the most part, but of course there are still some hurt feelings. That said, it should come as no surprise that there are some new issues that have arisen of late.

In a recent 360 update, some Datel controllers have been experiencing some problems. Specifically, the TurboFire 2, WildFire 2, and EVO controllers, as well as the Super Sports 3X Steering Wheel. While there is a way to fix it, it’s kind of a pain. Obviously we don’t know all the intricacies of the details behind this, it does look a bit vengeful on Microsoft’s part.
