I just recently made it through LIMBO, one of the greatest indie games I’ve ever played. It was recently added as part of the Huble Indie Bundle V and more players have the chance to trudge through the creepy darkness that the game presents. We haven’t heard much from developer PlayDead since the game released, though we’ve definitely a reason to now.
It looks like PlayDead is working on something, and it looks like a successor to LIMBO. The game they’re working on is called Project 2, and so far it looks to us very much like LIMBO 2. The Danish Film Institute claims on their website that Project 2 will be a 3D platformer centered on the story of a little boy as he struggles to escape from people who are making experiments on human bodies.
From the screenshot the game does look like a more detailed version of LIMBO, and yet again we’re taking up the role of a young boy in a horrific setting. PlayDead has a great way of incorporating horror into a game that will still grip players into the story, so I have no doubts that Project 2 will be another great title. There’s no release date for the game yet, but when it does release it will be available for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
