According to a letter that made it out to GameStop locations, Ubisoft will be issuing a Season Pass for DLC in Assassin’s Creed III. The letter was sent with congratulations for helping gamers wreck the pre-order goals that Ubisoft set out for the game, and in this the announcement was made. The game has more than made the pre-order quota, and now we’ll be rewarded with news on upcoming DLC for the game.
Ubisoft apparently plans to have enough DLC to release for the game to warrant offering a Season Pass, so that’s already news in itself. The things we know already are: this will be a lot of DLC, and if you purchase the Season Pass you’ll get the bundle at a reduced price, or at least we assume anyway.
There’s no mention of whether the game will offer multiplayer DLC, single-player DLC, or both kinds. With Assassin’s Creed II Ubisoft was successful in selling some single-player DLC, and I imagine they could do the same thing with the next title. More missions, side quests, and storylines are always fun.
