Project Giana Brings New Life To An Old Favorite

When something is wildly popular, such as Super Mario Bros, you know there are going to be knock-offs and clones. The Great Giana Sisters was one of these clones, and it actually went over quite well. Nintendo wasn’t fond of its popularity, so of course, it was pulled.

It seems that Nintendo has started to care less about that game, as a Giana descendant was released on the DS in 2009. Now it’s time to revamp the old favorite in a big way, and it’s called Project Giana (the name will change as the Kickstarter progresses). This game will be for PC, and it has updated graphics, music, and much more.

If you’ve never heard of this game before, it’s about a little girl named Giana who is stuck in a dreamworld. In the original game, you had Maria and Giana, but it has since been changed to only one girl who changes forms. However, in this particular game, not only are you going to get a different outfit and hairstyle when you transform, but a completely different world to walk through too!

Transforming is actually mandatory in the game, as you will have different abilities as the spooky or cute Giana that will help you progress through levels. Whenever you switch from cute Giana with a spooky background, you will transform into spooky Giana with a cute background. Paying $10 will get you a copy of the game, and you can expect it sometime in October.
