If you’ve ever considered picking up either Rock Band or Rock Band Reloaded for your iOS device, I’d suggest doing it soon. Like, before next Wednesday. Why? Because after that, the game will forever disappear from the App Store.
According to EA, their licensing agreement with Harmonix will expire on July 31st, 2012. At this time, they will be pulling both titles from the App Store. Thankfully, you will still be able to play the game, along with any of the tracks you previously purchased.
If you want to make sure that you still have access to the songs you’ve purchased after the 31st, EA suggest backing them up to your iCloud storage. If you don’t do this, you will be unable to re-download them in the future. At least this is better than the last time EA tried to pull the plug on the mobile Rock Band games. At least now they aren’t preventing you from playing them after the license expires.
