Steam Summer Sale Is Confirmed

For PC gamers, Christmas comes twice a year. Once in the winter, and once in the summer. I’m talking, of course, about Steam sales. During these periods, gamers can get a lot of games without paying much at all. Bundle packs, individual titles, classic games and very new ones. Sometimes it feels like everything is on sale.

Unfortunately this year, there has been no summer sale. June has come and gone. July has already started, and nothing but the usual daily deals have shown up. Amazon has come out swinging with some deals that rival the ones we’re used to on Steam. But everyone is still wondering whether or now Valve still plans on putting on their usual sale. Well I can finally answer this with a definite “yes.”

MikeBlaszczak posted a very brief message on the official forums yesterday, which confirmed the existance of a summer sale. He simply said: “We are planning a sale sometime this summer. Hope that helps!”

So unless you find some great deals on Amazon that you can’t live without, I’d make sure not to spend all of your cash. Even $20 can go a long way in a Steam sale. We’ll let you know when we have more information on the event.
