Swearing In FIFA 13 Might Make The Refs Biased

Anyone that knows me is well aware that I greatly dislike the Kinect as a gaming device. I accept that it is a great tool for motion capture, but in most games, it doesn’t really add to the experience. In fact, it seems to detract from it. There are a few exceptions to this, and I think that FIFA 13 is going to be one of them.

Back at E3, EA showed off the latest in the FIFA series, which was heavy on the Kinect support. Things like changing formations, calling plays and making substitutions were all done with ease, just by talking. This makes sense, because there is a lot of verbal communication in sports. Of course, there’s also a good bit of swearing. So what happens when you get a bad call from a ref, and you give him a piece of your mind?

Back at E3, we were shown this, and the player received a yellow card. However, it looks like EA has changed their mind on this, not wanting you to be penalized too much for the action. However, they did state that it can still affect your game. The commentators will react to your foul mouth, and the refs might crack down on your team, as a result of your verbal abuse.
