The first Borderlands was a great shooter for a variety of reasons, the least of which not being the violence. Because lets face it, what’s a shooter without some blood and whatnot? Well depending on where you lived, the version of the game you played might not have been quite as violent, due to the restrictions of a few certain countries.
Gearbox has officially announced that regardless of what corner of the world you’re living in, you’ll get as much or little gore and violence as you like. They have done this by implementing a Gore Toggle option. This allows you to easily switch between a censored and uncensored version of the game as you’re playing.
As for me, I’ll be leaving Gore on, because I want to see people explode when I shoot them. The game hits stores on September 18th here in North America, and September 21st for the rest of the world.
