Dust: An Elysian Tail
Everyone loves a 2D action RPG, am I right? So why not try out Dust: An Elysian Tail? This is set in a fanciful land called Falana, and it will be your task as the main character to free an oppressed village.
You will be playing as Dust, and help will come to you by way of an ancient sword called Ahrah, and a sort of flying fox-creature called Fidget. This is a platforming game that saw some serious TLC in its creation as it was hand-painted and animated. This is the work of about four years, so you can imagine how awesome it is.
This is the winner of the 2009 Dream.Build.Play competition, and it uses a completely original soundtrack from Hyperduck Studios. It only released a short while ago, but it seems to be doing quite well if the ratings on it are accurate. This game is suited for gamers 10 and up, and you can pick up this game on Xbox LIVE for about 1,200 MSP ($15).
